For those wishing to fly to Colorado; Denver (DIA) is the closest major airport and is located about 3 to 3.5 hour drive from Walden. A smaller airport, Yampa Valley Regional Airport/Hayden (HDN), is located 25 miles west of Steamboat Springs (1.75 hour drive from Walden) and offers limited commercial service. For those arriving in private aircraft, a public airport with a paved runway (Walden-Jackson County Airport, FAA #33V) is available just a mile outside of Walden.
